Livingston Parish School Board Considering Levying Additional or Increased Millage Rates.

Notice is hereby given pursuant to Article 7, Section 23(C) of the Constitution of the State of Louisiana and R.S. 47:1705(B), that a public hearing of the Livingston Parish School Board will be held at its regular meeting place in the Board Room, located in the Livingston Parish School Board, 13909 Florida Boulevard, Livingston, Louisiana on Thursday, July 12, 2012, at 7:00 p.m. to consider levying additional or increased millage rates without further voter approval or adopting the adjusted millage rates after reassessment and rolling forward to rates not to exceed the prior year’s maximum. The estimated amount of tax revenues to be collected from the School Regular Parish-wide Constitutional in the next tax year from the increased millage is $1,335,897 and the amount of increase in taxes attributable to the millage increase is $73,089. The estimated amount of tax revenues to be collected from the School Parish-wide Special Maintenance in the next tax year from the increased millage is $2,842,334 and the amount of increase in taxes attributable to the millage increase is $150,237. The estimated amount of tax revenues to be collected from the School Parish-wide Additional Support in the next tax year from the increased millage is $2,915,423 and the amount of increase in taxes attributable to the millage increase is $154,298.
