William W. “Bill” Perkins

William W. Perkins,  better know as Bill, was born on May 29, 1920 and died on May 28, 2012.  He was one day shy of his 92nd birthday, but fittingly passed on Memorial Day.  An Army veteran of World War II, this HERO will be sorely missed by his family and friends.  He is survived by his wife, Eleanor B. Perkins of nearly 5 years, a daughter Sheila DeAngelo, a son in law, Weldon G. Sharon, 6 grand children, 16 great grandchildren,  4 brothers and 2 sisters.  He was preceded in death by his parents, L. D. Perkins and Susie Sadie Street;  his first wife Ledell A. Perkins, a daughter Mary Susan Perkins Sharon, 2 brothers and 2 sisters.  Forever we will honor this man and hold him in highest regard.  The Bible says “Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends…”  Bill Perkins sacrificed unselfishly for his country , his family and his fellow man.
