30 Pounds of Marijuana Seized
On the evening of June 20, 2012, LPSO Narcotics Agents executed a search warrant at the address of 9951 Spur Road, Denham Springs, La. that yielded the arrest of 4 people and the confiscation of more than 30 pounds of various types of high quality marijuana. Agents also seized 2 handguns, $8450.00 in US Currency, and various packaging materials used to aid in the distribution of the marijuana.
Jeanette Marie White, a 37 year old female, who listed her address as 9951 Spur Rd., Denham Springs, La., was charged with the following:
2 Counts Possession With Intent to Distribute Schedule I CDS, 1 Count Illegal use of Controlled Drug in Presence of Persons under 17 years old
and 1 Count Illegal Carrying of Weapon While in Possession of a CDS
She is currently being held in the Livingston Parish Detention Center in lieu of a $150,500.00 bond.
Michael R. Jones, Jr., a 43 year old male, who listed his address as 9951 Spur Rd., Denham Springs, La., was charged with the following:
2 Counts Possession With Intent to Distribute Schedule I CDS, 1 Count Illegal use of Controlled Drug in Presence of Persons under 17 years old
and 1 Count Illegal Carrying of Weapon While in Possession of a CDS
He is currently being held in the Livingston Parish Detention Center in lieu of a $150,500.00 bond.
Corey B. Vaughn, a 35 year old male, who listed his address as 9951 Spur Rd., Denham Springs, La., was charged with the following:
2 Counts Possession With Intent to Distribute Schedule I CDS, 1 Count Illegal use of Controlled Drug in Presence of Persons under 17 years old
and 1 Count Resisting an Officer
He is currently being held in the Livingston Parish Detention Center in lieu of a $151,000.00 bond with a hold for violation of probation and /or parole.
Upon the arrival of Law Enforcement Officers, Vaughn fled out the rear of the home but was quickly taken into custody by a K-9.
Anna S. Vaughn, a 33 year old female, who listed her address as 9951 Spur Rd., Denham Springs, La., was charged with the following:
2 Counts Possession With Intent to Distribute Schedule I CDS, 1 Count Illegal use of Controlled Drug in Presence of Persons under 17 years old
and 2 Counts Possession of Schedule II CDS
She is currently being held in the Livingston Parish Detention Center in lieu of a $170,500.00 bond.
Investigators from the Louisiana Department of Children and Family Services were contacted after Agents located a 15 year old child living in the residence.
Seized marijuana, in the form of approximately 100 plants, 1,878 grams of Hashish and 11,900 grams of high grade “buds” is believed to have a street value of approximately $394,000.00.
As a result of these arrests, Agents foresee a significant reduction of marijuana trafficking in the area and believe that additional arrests are possible as the investigation continues.
